Wine biscuit

To make the biscuits, start by beating the sugar with the butter until you get a homogeneous, whitish cream. While beating the mixture, add the bicarbonates, baking powder, salt, whey, eggs, glucose, soya lecithin and cinnamon powder. Add the water and wine, and beat the dough for another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, add the flour to a separate container and gradually pour the mix into it, working the dough until it’s developed and ready to be shaped. Cut 8-sided biscuits from the dough, and arrange them on pre-greased baking trays. Place the trays in a preheated oven at 190oC for about 7 minutes, so that they do not darken. Once cooked, let them cool down before packing. On June 15, 1938, “Vinho Portugal” was granted the registration of an industrial and commercial trademark no. 52475, under class 66.
